New NASCAR Team Emerges:
Ron Sheridan and CANUSA Motorsports Join Forces in 2010
A brand new alliance has been formed between some of the heavy hitters of theSouthwestern Ontario stock car scene. The partnership will include a limited three-race schedule for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in 2010. RKR Motorsports and CANUSA Motorsports have teamed up with Delaware Speedway veteran Late Model driver Ron Sheridan. Sheridan will pilot the Total Lubricants / Belfor / APC Ford for three events this season. The team will debut on June 5th at Delaware Speedway, and will also be competing at Autodrome Ste. Eustache on July 3rd. They will close out the season with the Kawartha Speedway event on September 25th.
Sheridan, who is a co-owner of RKR Motorsports, has experience at the National tour level, where he competed on a limited schedule in 2003 and 2004 under the CASCAR Super Series banner.
The #52 Ford was on display for the first time at the CPT Racing Experience in London, ON, Saturday January 16th, and Sunday January 17th at the Western Fair Agriplex.

NEW EHC Charges
Stewardship Ontario, the body that administers EHC surcharges, has released new charges that are effective January 1, 2010. Under the amended provincial policy, EHC charges for oil filters, antifreeze, and solvents have all been increased. The new charges are:

Oil Filters under 8 inches: $0.60 each

Oil Filters over 8 inches: $1.19 each

Bulk Antifreeze: $0.08 per litre
-
Packaged Antifreeze: $0.09 per litre
-
Solvents: $0.44 per litre
